| The Faculty for Agricultural Engineering was set up in 1962, by separation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. However, the development in scientific and technical preoccupations made it necessary the change of name (1995) into the Faculty for Engineering of Biotechnical Systems. The new denomination is justified by the fact that besides higher education in the field of machinery and equipment for agriculture and food processing, the students receive other knowledge as well (installations for biotechnologies, equipment for environmental protection) |
